FAQs
Everything to know.
MACH X: Amsterdam takes place September 29–30, 2026. If your question isn’t here, reach out to info@machalliance.org.
What is MACH X: Amsterdam?
MACH X: Amsterdam is the flagship European event from MACH Alliance – the global, vendor-neutral authority on open, composable, and AI-ready enterprise architecture. It’s two days of keynotes, deep dives, and curated peer exchange designed for senior technology and business leaders who are building the architectures that will define how AI operates at enterprise scale. No vendor booths. A room full of people who are driving change.
Who attends – and is this event right for me?
MACH X: Amsterdam is built for senior technology and business leaders at enterprise organizations – typically CTOs, CDOs, VPs of Engineering, Heads of AI, and their direct peers. If you’re responsible for shaping your organization’s technology strategy, evaluating AI readiness, or modernizing legacy architecture, this event was designed with you in mind. Attendees are practitioners and decision-makers, not observers.
Do I need to be a MACH Alliance member to attend?
MACH X: Amsterdam is open – and free to attend – for enterprise leaders and senior practitioners from enterprise end-user and brand organizations with €100M+ in annual revenue. All registrations are reviewed and approved to protect the quality of the room – this is a conference for technology and business decision-makers who are shaping enterprise architecture and AI strategy. Non-member software vendors, systems integrators, consultants, sales professionals, and recruiters are not eligible to attend.
How is MACH X: Amsterdam different from other enterprise AI events?
Every session is selected for specificity – live deployments, real results, and honest accounts of what actually worked. The program covers architecture decisions, governance structures, change management, and organizational realities via candid conversations. MACH Alliance is the only vendor-neutral global body advancing open, composable, and connected enterprise architecture. Amsterdam is where that mission is put to work – with the practitioners, partners, and ecosystem building it.
When and where does it take place?
MACH X: Amsterdam takes place September 29–30, 2026 across two iconic venues in the heart of the city. Felix Meritis – a landmark building on the Keizersgracht canal built in 1788 as a home for scientists, artists, and entrepreneurs – and Soho House Amsterdam – a canalside members’ club and hotel housed in the Bungehuis, a protected Art Deco landmark on Spuistraat built in 1934. Both venues are a short walk or bike ride from each other in Amsterdam’s historic canal belt.

What can I expect from the agenda?
Two focused days structured for depth, not volume. You can expect keynotes on building AI-ready enterprises with composable foundations, sessions on agentic use cases and multi-vendor interoperability, real-world case studies from brands already running MACH-powered AI in production, and networking with C-suite peers, MACH members, and ecosystem partners. The 2026 MACH Impact Awards – including the Agentic Achievement cohort – will also be announced at MACH X: Amsterdam. Full agenda to be published – check back closer to the event.
Will slide decks and session recordings be shared?
No – and that’s intentional. MACH X: Amsterdam is designed to be a space where practitioners can speak openly, share what’s actually working (and what isn’t), and have the kind of honest conversations that don’t happen on a recorded stage. Keeping the room off the record is what makes the content worth being in the room for.
What we do produce is a post-event wrap report – a tailored summary of the key themes, insights, and moments that defined the program. It’s shared with all attendees after the event, so nothing gets lost. See the MACH X: Toronto Wrap Report for an example of what to expect.
The best way to capture what you hear is to be there.

I’m interested in speaking at MACH X: Amsterdam. Who should I contact?
We’re looking for genuine subject matter experts with real-world experience to share – sessions must align with our core themes of composable architecture, AI readiness, and the agent ecosystem, and cannot be product pitches or vendor-led sales presentations. If that sounds like you, reach out to us at info@machalliance.org with a brief overview of your proposed topic and your organization’s background. All proposals are reviewed by our programming team.
Are press and media welcome at MACH X: Amsterdam?
Yes – we welcome credentialed press and media. If you’re interested in attending, covering the event, or arranging speaker interviews, please reach out to our communications team at info@machalliance.org ahead of the event to request accreditation. We’ll be in touch with logistics and access details.
How do I register?
Submit your registration for review here. Spots are limited – the event is intentionally kept to a size that makes the networking meaningful. We’d recommend registering early.
Can I transfer or cancel my registration?
Yes to both. If your plans change, email us at info@machalliance.org and we’ll take care of it – whether that’s transferring your spot to a colleague or cancelling your registration entirely.
Will I receive information before the event?
Yes – once your registration is approved, you’ll receive regular updates leading up to the event, including a what to expect guide ahead of the conference day. All event logistics, agenda details, and practical information will be sent directly to your inbox. Make sure to check your spam folder and add MACH Alliance to your contacts so nothing gets missed.
Where should I stay?
Felix Meritis is located on the Keizersgracht in the heart of Amsterdam’s canal belt – one of the most walkable and well-connected parts of the city. Soho House Amsterdam is on Spuistraat, a short walk away between the Singel and Keizersgracht canals. We don’t have a partner hotel or negotiated rates, so you’re free to book wherever works best for you.
Canal Belt (Grachtengordel) – closest to the venue. The most convenient base, with Felix Meritis and the city’s best restaurants, bars, and galleries all within walking distance. Hotel Estheréa, Pulitzer Amsterdam, Ambassade Hotel, The Dylan Amsterdam, and Hotel 717 are all solid options in this area.
Jordaan – 5–10 minute walk. A quieter, characterful neighborhood just west of the venue. Lots of independent hotels and canal house stays, with a pleasant walk or short tram ride to our venues.
City Centre / Dam Square – 10–15 minute walk. A broader range of price points and availability, with easy tram connections to the venue.
Amsterdam Centraal is roughly 20 minutes on foot or a quick tram ride – making arrival by train from Schiphol Airport straightforward.
For broader options, Google Hotels, Booking.com, and Expedia all have strong inventory in the area. We’d recommend filtering by the Grachtengordel neighborhood for the most convenient location.

What should I wear and what should I bring?
Business casual is the norm. Think polished but practical – most attendees dress professionally without being overly formal. Amsterdam in late September can be cool and occasionally rainy, so a light jacket or layer is a smart addition if you’re walking between venues or exploring the city. Cloakrooms will be available at both locations.
A few things worth having on hand: business cards or a preferred way to share contact details, a laptop or tablet if you like to take notes, a portable charger, and comfortable shoes if you’re planning to explore Amsterdam on foot before or after the event. Everything else will be provided on-site.

Is the venue accessible?
Felix Meritis and Soho House Amsterdam are both historically listed buildings. We are committed to making MACH X: Amsterdam as accessible as possible. Closer to the event, you’ll find a dedicated MACH X: Amsterdam space where you can chat with fellow attendees, plan your agenda, and arrive ready for day one.
Please note: if you have an iPhone, there are two Gradual apps available. Make sure you select “Gradual - Community Platform.”
